About Us
We're Shayla and Jamie and this is our little piece of Eden Valley.
What started as a dream to have a little more space, grow things ourselves and create a life away from the rush has quickly turned into what we’re proud to share as Edge of Eden Flower Farm.
We moved to our 40 acre farm in 2024 and there the dream began. We knew we wanted to create something special here but we didn't quite know what that would look like and from a love of nature and being outdoors, flowers became a pretty big part of our plan.
Neither of us grew up running a farm, let alone growing flowers, but we have learnt so much by throwing ourselves into something new and discovering a deep love and enjoyment in growing and nurturing something beautiful. And it’s that time we spend in the field, amongst the blooms, that we realised what we have is just too good not to share.
Why the name?
Edge of Eden is Jamie’s beautiful play on words. He created our name from two things, a location and a feeling.
We’re located in the beautiful Eden Valley region of the Barossa Valley, a world famous wine region in South Australia.
And a place that feels like paradise to us, like being right at the edge of Eden on earth.
And, honestly, we think it's a pretty beautiful place to call home.
Growing with the seasons
We're growing a seasonal mix of cut flowers that will change throughout the year, from spring favourites through to the big, colourful blooms of summer. Our aim isn't to have flowers looking exactly the same every month. We want to grow with the seasons and let the field change as the year does.
We're also trying to build the farm in a way that works with the land rather than against it. We're learning about no-till growing and improving our soil, how to manage water consumption with access only to rainwater and finding better ways to grow as we go.

2026 is the very first season welcoming visitors and we're so excited to finally open the gates and share it with you. We're still very much finding our feet, learning what grows well, figuring it all out and watching the farm slowly take shape around us. You'll be visiting us right at the beginning, as we grow this little dream into what we can only hope Edge of Eden Flower Farm will become.
Our Wander & Gather experience is our way of sharing the farm with you. Come for a wander, spend some time amongst the flowers and gather your own to take home. We want it to feel less like a visit to a business and more like being invited out to our farm.
